Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. She is known for her roles in television and in film since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett originates from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. At the age of Bassett was five years old, she and her sister were moved from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother, who was divorced from their father. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after she saw the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Following her graduation at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies, she continued to pursue a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
